How does a vehicle repair plan work?
If you experience a vehicle breakdown, head straight to your preferred ASE-certified service provider or schedule a repair through our partner, RepairPal at repairpal.com/olive.
Let the repair facility know you have Olive® coverage prior to starting repairs. The repair facility will contact the administrator’s claims office to file a claim and report their diagnosis and submit a repair estimate.
Once a claim determination has been made by the administrator, simply pay your deductible and any non-covered expenses, and the administrator will cover the rest! Learn more at olive.com/how-to-file-a-claim.
How does QBE work with Olive®?

How do I get a claim approved?
Prior to starting any repairs, let the repair facility know you have Olive® coverage. The repair facility must then contact the administrator’s claims office at 800-773-9980 with a diagnosis and estimate of repairs. Once repairs have been completed, the administrator will pay all covered items and repairs, you pay your deductible and any non-covered items.
Where can I take my vehicle for repairs?
Mechanical Breakdown Insurance (MBI)
Is filing a Mechanical Breakdown Insurance claim difficult?
No. The process is designed to be simple:
- Take your vehicle to any licensed repair shop.
- The shop contacts our administrator’s claims office at 800-773-9980 with a diagnosis and repair estimate.
- You pay your deductible, and Olive® pays the rest of the covered repair directly to the shop.
Does Mechanical Breakdown Insurance cover parts AND labor?
Yes. For covered repairs, both replacement parts and the labor needed to install those parts are included after your deductible.
How does the deductible work?
The deductible is your fixed out-of-pocket amount per approved repair visit. Once you pay that amount, Olive®’s MBI covers the remaining approved repair costs.
Is there a waiting period for Mechanical Breakdown Insurance?
No. Olive®’s MBI has no waiting period. If you buy today, you’ll be covered the next day.
Does Mechanical Breakdown Insurance cover high-mileage vehicles?
Olive®’s MBI may cover vehicles up to 10 years old and up to 140,000 miles, making it accessible for many drivers whose factory car warranties have expired.

Can I cancel my Mechanical Breakdown Insurance plan with Olive®?
